ABOUT SHARON

Creative Professional with a Honours Degree in Menswear Tailoring from the London College of Fashion. 

PGCE Greenwich University

With an accomplished career as a Fashion Tutor teaching Level one to level 4 HNC for over 20 years in Further Education, the main thrust been Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction, the latter years in FE was also Lead Internal Verifier.

 Has taught Corsetry and Bag Making on ACL ( Adult Community Learning Courses)

 In general found repairs and alterations taps into every skill taught to me and that I have taught. It’s also a technical treasure trove unpicking, problem solving and reassembling a garment that also help furnishing new ideas for made -to- measure technical possibilities.

I also love the overall ethos of sustainability ie clothes made to last a bit longer especially with our limited resources and the possible devastating impact on future generations

A Bit Extra: Worked as a Fashion Merchandiser also worked for a company that made Ballroom dresses for ‘Strictly’

Coming to Rugby, I worked at SueSew for nearly two years starting my own business once the manager retired
